Information for Virtual IMPS registrants

Overview

To register for the conference, please visit https://www.psychometricsociety.org/imps-2021 and click the button for Virtual lMPS 2021 registration.

Once you have registered for the Virtual IMPS, to access the content of the conference you will also need to create an ExOrdo account. The account can be created at https://imps2021.exordo.com/

Once you have an account created, the conference itself (including the On Demand access to prerecorded talks) is available at https://event.imps2021.exordo.com/ or by clicking the “Event Space” button once logged in at https://imps2021.exordo.com/

The homepage at https://event.imps2021.exordo.com has options listed at the top of the page that include “Home,” “At a Glance,” “Today,” “Live,” “On Demand,” and “Discover”. The “Home” button will be used to post announcements related to the conference as well as featured talks and meetings. The “At a Glance” and “Today” buttons provide overviews of the scheduled sessions. Below are descriptions of the other options.

Thanks for your registration for Virtual IMPS 2021. We hope you enjoy the conference!

Live

The “Live” option is where you will access the live sessions themselves, which will begin on July 20. Note that there are four rooms (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4) where the live sessions will occur. At the time of those sessions, you can simply click within the box of the corresponding room to enter that session as an attendee. The live sessions will be run using Cisco WebEx. A version of Cisco WebEx Events will be installed if you are accessing a Live Stage room for the first time, and you should follow the instructions to install if needed. You can also “Browse Lineup” for each Stage to see what sessions will occur there.

Unfortunately the virtual live platform will only work using a Windows or Mac system. For example, it will NOT run on Linux, nor will it run on hand-held devices such as tablets and phones, even if they are running iOS or a Windows based OS.

When attending a live session, your audio and video will be OFF and cannot be turned ON. Only panelists (presenters and the chair) will have the ability to use these features. Questions to the presenters can be posted in the Chat box in the lower right hand portion of the screen.

Questions posted in the Chat box will be visible to the session chair and can be asked by the session chair on your behalf following the presentation.

Please visit the link below for additional details on the live stages: https://support.exordo.com/article/922-attending-an-event-on-a-live-stage

On Demand

With the virtual setup, a significant part of the conference experience happens before the meeting itself, so we hope you will take time to view the various presentations that have been uploaded. Please note that the keynote and invited talks will only occur live, so there will not be presentation materials or recordings posted for these talks.

We hope you will also take advantage of the “Post a Question” feature associated with each of the uploaded presentations. Below each presentation you will find a box that allows you to post questions and interact with the presenting author both prior to and during the conference. Any questions posted in this box will lead to a notification being sent to the presenting author, and will also appear in the Questions box below the presentation. For oral presentation and symposium sessions, questions can also be posted to the “Chat” at the live session at which the presentation is assigned.

Discover

The “Discover” option gives the ability to search the program for particular presentations, sessions or authors. The sessions are arranged into “Bundles” by format type, and are organized as a poster session, oral parallel sessions, spotlight talks or symposia. The schedule of talks can also be downloaded as a pdf at: https://www.psychometricsociety.org/imps-2021
