Things to do
Hongdae
One of Seoul’s liveliest neighborhoods, known for its street performances, independent boutiques, cafés, and nightlife. It is an excellent place to experience the city’s youthful and creative atmosphere.
AK& Plaza Hongdae
A large shopping and culture complex right next to Hongik University Station, popular for its K-pop and street culture content. It houses WITHMUU, one of Seoul’s largest K-pop specialty stores, offering official albums, lightsticks, and photocards for popular Korean idols, along with themed floors for streetwear, anime, and fandom goods, making it a great stop for visitors interested in K-pop and Korean pop culture.
Yeonnam-dong
A charming neighborhood filled with trendy cafés, bakeries, small galleries, and local boutiques. It is ideal for a leisurely walk and relaxing after conference sessions.
Mangwon Market
A traditional Korean market popular with locals for its authentic street food and affordable snacks. It offers a more local and less touristy experience than many larger markets.
Gyeongbokgung
The largest and most iconic of Seoul’s royal palaces, originally built in 1395. Visitors can explore beautiful palace grounds and experience an important part of Korea’s history and culture.
Bukchon Hanok Village
A historic neighborhood featuring hundreds of traditional Korean hanok houses. Its narrow streets provide scenic views and a glimpse into Seoul’s architectural heritage.
Insadong
A cultural district famous for traditional tea houses, craft shops, art galleries, and souvenir stores. It is one of the best places to experience traditional Korean arts and culture.

Myeong-dong
Seoul’s premier shopping district, offering everything from international brands to Korean cosmetics and popular street food. It is a favorite destination for both shopping and dining.
Han River Park
A relaxing riverside park where visitors can enjoy walking, cycling, or simply taking in views of the Seoul skyline. It is especially popular in the evening.
N Seoul Tower
Located atop Namsan Mountain, the tower offers panoramic views of Seoul from its observation deck. It is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.
Cheonggyecheon
A beautifully restored urban stream that runs through downtown Seoul. The walking paths provide a peaceful escape from the busy city and are particularly pleasant after sunset.
Seongsu-dong
Often called the “Brooklyn of Seoul,” Seongsu-dong is known for its renovated industrial buildings, stylish cafés, designer shops, and contemporary art spaces. It is one of Seoul’s trendiest neighborhoods for shopping and exploring local culture.
COEX
One of Asia’s largest convention and shopping complexes, featuring a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, and entertainment options. Visitors can also explore the famous Starfield Library, a popular architectural landmark inside the mall.
National Museum of Korea
Korea’s largest museum, housing an extensive collection of artifacts spanning thousands of years of Korean history and culture. Admission to the permanent exhibitions is free, making it an excellent destination for those interested in art and history.
