Electricity

Korea uses 220V electricity. If your country uses a different voltage or plug type, be sure to bring an appropriate power adapter before traveling.

Maps & Navigation

While Google Maps works in Korea, its navigation features may be limited due to local mapping restrictions. We recommend downloading Naver Map or KakaoMap, which provide more accurate walking, driving, and public transportation directions.

Public Transportation

Seoul’s subway and bus systems are safe, convenient, and easy to use. Cash is not accepted on buses, so visitors should purchase a rechargeable transportation card (e.g., T-money or Climate Card) at convenience stores (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven, emart24) or at subway station ticket vending machines. The same card can be used on both buses and subways throughout Seoul.
