Requirements
IMPORTANT: Please see the poster board picture shared below. This year’s poster board is a vertical stand. The total board size is approximately 1,800 mm in height and 1,000 mm in width. (H: 70.86 inches x W: 39.37 inches; H: 5.9 feet x W: 3.28 feet)
IMPORTANT: The international poster size, A0 is the largest paper size recognized, measuring 1189 H x 841 W mm (46.8 H x 33.1 W inches). We suggest printing up to a maximum A0 size for this year’s meeting to ensure your poster fits securely on the vertical board without exceeding the assigned space.
- (The exact size is up to the presenter as long as it doesn’t exceed the A0 sizing. Commonly printed at conferences with a vertical board is to consider the sizing 820×1100 mm; however, if presenting horizontally is still preferred, the size would be 1100×820mm. A simple table is shared below of other common poster sizes to consider for this year.)
Poster tacks/pins will be provided on site to hang each poster.
Tips
Posters will be read from a distance. Charts, drawings, and illustrations should be similar to those you would use in making slides. Text should be in a large typeface. Typical poster printing sizes may be determined by the presenter as long the printed poster stays within the dimensions noted above.
Presenters may want to bring additional literature to post with poster. Tip: An envelope is helpful in which to hang additional materials. Another option is to include a QR code in the poster graphics that links to a paper or more detailed information.
Poster Tutorials: If this is your first poster presentation, please check out tutorials such as those found here and here.
