Visit the Biltmore Estate - Wednesday afternoon, July 13th

Join the Society and fellow conference goers on a half-day excursion to see one of Asheville's best tourist attractions.

Transportation will depart from the Renaissance Asheville Hotel on the morning of the excursion. The Biltmore Estate was built over a period of six years in the late 1800s and opened to the public in 1930. The sprawling 8,000-acre estate features 250 rooms built in the French Renaissance style and houses its own vineyard and The Biltmore Estate Wine Company. In addition to tours of the estate and grounds, the property also features two inns, a cottage, and Antler Hill Village which features an exhibition of the estate's history, a farm, and an outdoor adventure center. A detailed event timeline will be available in the program book (tentative schedule: 12:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.). Box lunches will be provided. Meet in the Renaissance Asheville Hotel Lobby between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to depart for the excursion. Buses will depart at 1:00pm sharp!
