Journal Editors Session - Monday, July 13

Attend the session "Publication Trade Secrets: Straight from the Editors' Mouths" on Monday, July 13, 1:30 - 3:00pm, in the Yingdong Conference Hall - Lecture Hall. The editors of eight major journals in the field of psychometrics, including PsychometrikaApplied Psychological Measurement, and Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics, will share their insights about getting papers published in their journals. Members from the audience are invited to ask questions.

 

Student Lunch - Tuesday, July 14

As a student in the field of psychometrics, you are cordially invited to the Student Luncheon on July 14th, 12:00 - 1:30 pm in the Northwestern Restaurant on the campus of Beijing Normal University. The luncheon will take place in several small groups of students with senior psychometricians. Learn more about the psychometric profession, ask questions about educational steps and professional timelines to meet your career goals, and interact with your fellow students from around the globe. Members of the Psychometric Society Board of Trustees will also be attending, so you can ask them about benefits of Psychometric Society membership and opportunities to get involved with the Society. A few seats are still available. Please sign up at the Registration Desk on a first-come, first-served basis.

These individuals have been to several IMPS conferences and invite you to approach them with questions you have about the conference. (For questions very specific to IMPS 2015, such as directions to rooms, please ask Conference Staff at the registration desk or volunteers wearing orange baseball caps.) You are also encouraged to have a conversation with Experienced Attendees about your research and theirs, careers, and membership in the Psychometric Society.

Anyone who has been to at least three IMPS conferences in the past and at least one within the last four years is invited to serve as Experienced Attendee. Please sign up and receive your Experienced Attendee ribbon during registration.
