The 73^rd Annual Meeting of the Psychometric Society, (IMPS 2008)
was held at the University of New Hampsire, June 29 - July 2, 2008.

Special Events

The conference kicked off with a Welcome Reception on Sunday, which featured a string quartet playing while psychometricians took advantage of the food and the chance to chat with old friends and colleagues.

This year was the first occassion of a Past Presidents session, wherein recent presidents were invited to discuss where they believe the field of psychometrics will or should go in the future or alternatively how their research domain has developed over the years and whether they would like to see it taking a different direction.

Before the cruise started there were interesting sea creatures in a view and touch tank, and once the cruise began there was plentiful food, good companionship, and breathtaking scenery.

The last special event was the banquet, which was held on the last evening at the Seacoast Science Center in Portsmouth, NH.
The food was heartily enjoyed...	...and the evening ended with ice cream, to the delight of all.
