Benefits for Students
Students may reduce the cost of conference travel a number of ways. Registration for students is at a reduced rate, and accommodation costs may be reduced by travelling together and sharing rooms.


Psychometric Society-ETS Student Travel Awards
With the generous support of Educational Testing Service, the Psychometric Society is pleased to announce that a limited number of travel awards are available to suppport graduate student participation in IMPS 2005.

Applications for the award must consist of (1) a cover letter including name, current affiliation, intended date of graduation; and contact information (address, telephone, and email), (2) an abstract of up to 300 words, and (3) a three-page summary of the research. Research topics must be from one of the areas listed in the Call for Papers. Applications will be judged on the quality of methodological innovation or creative application of statistical analysis to an issue in psychometrics. Two awards will be given in 2006.

To submit an application, send an email with the subject "ETS Student Travel Award" to pmetrika@uncg.edu. The email should have the application information in the text of the message or as PDF or Word attachments.

Deadline for applications is April 21, 2006. Winners will be notifed as soon as possible thereafter.
